Belt Progress & Advancement

Tang Soo Do offers a systematic method of student development and progress measured by colored belts. Yi's Karate of Vineland's instructors will guide the willing student through the intense training required to achieve the rank of "black belt."

Yellow Belt: 8th Gup

Orange Belt: 7th Gup

Green Belt: 6th Gup

Light Blue Belt: 5th Gup

Brown Belt: 4th Gup

Purple Belt: 3rd Gup

Red Belt: 2nd Gup

Red Belt with Stripe: 1st Gup

Dark Blue: Cho Dan Bo - Black Belt Candidate

Cho Dan: 1st Degree Black Belt
